    Routine traffic stop effected by a motor unit with another motor unit backing. Driver exits vehicle and open fires with an AK-47 and kills both officers. Perp runs into apt. building half a block down. Responding units are everwhere looking for the perp when a caller tells dispatch that some guy ran into their apt. building (probably saw the AK-47).

    SWAT team rolls to the building and the perp takes shoots from his vantage point striking the Sgt. team leader in the head. Another SWAT member is also hit with gun fire and is fighting for his life. SWAT team takes out (kills) perp. All toll 3 officers are killed and one is borderline.

    All this happened at 1330 hours in broad daylight. There is no such thing as a routine traffic stop!!!!!

    RIP to our brothers at Oakland Police Department
