- About Me
- About me well I had to leave the state of Florida were I spent the last 8 years in Law enforcement because of the cost of living. I have 2 great kids one girl and one boy. I have been honored to work for the University of Wisconsin Green Bay Public Safety Police Department. I love my job not very stressful lots of community contact, great people to work with, and lots patrol. My Cheif is great, my Lt. is awesome, and my Sergeant is wonderful. I could not have asked for a better group of people to spend my 10 hours a day with. I am the type of officer who will set goals in life. I tell people the truth, because being honest is what a good officer should do. Not to mention that is what the public expects. I have a great family, one who has raised me very well. My family supports me in whatever I do. Leaving the Florida Keys was a tuff decision. I loved the weather, sun, beaches, laid back lifestyle, and I do miss it. Working in the Keys gave me the best experience I could have ever recieve. I met some of the most interesting people on earth. People from all over the world. I made some great friends. (Miss all of you). I have been through hurricanes, heavy flooding, and have seen a lot. I will always have that memory. Recently I have been offered a position with my old agency (Monroe County Sheriff's Office of the Florida Keys). So now that memory is not so much a memory anymore. I will be leaving the state of Wisconsin, and the University to return with MCSO in Florida starting the 26th of June. I guess its kind of a welcome home feeling. I am exicted to see what changes have been done for the agency, as well as what the future brings. I am a big hunter, fisher, and I am very active. I love the outdoors. I love going up north sitting by a camp fire with a captain and coke, just watching the clouds, and then the stars. I love to cook mostly I grill. I am the Officer I have been where you fear to be, I have seen what you fear to see, I have done what you fear to do All these things I have done for you. I am the person you lean upon, The one you cast your scorn upon, The one you bring your troubles to All these people I've been for you. The one you ask to stand apart, The one you feel should have no heart, The one you call "The Offi cer in Blue," But I'm just a person, just like you. And through the years I've come to see, That I am not always what you ask of me; So, take this badge ... take this gun ... Will you take it ... will anyone? And when you watch a person die And hear a battered baby cry, Then do you think that you can be All these things you ask of me? (Author unknown)

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, and hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
11. Don't waste time finding fault with others - they can usually
Find fault with themselves just fine. Try something challenging-
LOOK FOR THE GOOD IN EVERYONE!
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
And if you don't send this to at least 8 people - who cares?
But do share this with someone.
We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!
Worry about nothing, pray about everything!!!

I love what you wrote about yourself...and the fact that you went someplace "different"...and were satisfied and happy with the experience- and were able to be strong enough to "go back home"...to the beautiful FL Keys! I admire your outlook and stand on being an honorable man and cop. Having grown up 5-0, I can say how tough of a job it is- and how proud I am of my father- and every man and woman who has accepted this challenge...to protect our community and protected each and everyone of us...so "thanklessly".....
Thank you...stay well...and stay safe.
Much love and respect,
René

We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize
it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't.
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain....
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call.....
He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
a word from His lips, can calm every fear...
Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light....
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love...
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

AND BE HAPPY!!!!
Today is International Disturbed People's Day
Please send an encouraging message to a disturbed friend... just as I've done.
I don't care if you lick windows,
take the special bus
or occasionally pee on yourself..
You hang in there sunshine, you're special
Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Today's Message of the Day is:
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile..
