  Sarge - I am glad to hear from you and I'm glad you guys weren't hit too bad. Staying with your brothers shows what kind of guy you are. It sounds like it was fun despite why you were there. Well hang in there brother and take care of yourself. Hopefully there won't be the need for another "Hurricane Party" anytime soon.

  Troy - you ok? Let me know if you can! I was sent to NOLA to ride out the storm and they released us yesterday to come back home. We're on stand-by in case anyone needs LE assistance. If you know anyone that can get to Grand Isle, please let me know. Our Grand Isle neighbors evacuated to my parents' house in BR - they have no word on if their house is still there. Be Safe!

  Man I'm really sorry to hear that brother. You and your family are in my prayers. As for going with your dad; GO. Your brothers in blue will understand. Now if ever is when family is truly first. That being said go with your dad and be there for him; he needs you very much at this time. I know it's hard to do as I too have troubles sometimes believing it but the job will be here long after you and I are gone. You need to take care of Pop now. Your brothers in blue will be Ok and will withstand anything Gustav or any others that follow can throw. In the meantime you take care of yourself, your dad and your family. Although I'm miles away if there is anything I can do let me know. Take care my friend and hang in there.

  So friend what's the damage report from Edouard? We've had the 2008 White Marlin Open going on up here since Monday. Today's the last day. It looks like the top White Marlin is going to be worth about $950,000. Not too bad. It weighed 81 lbs. The first place Blue Marlin weighed 935.5 Lbs. and the top Tuna weighed 172 Lbs. The top dolphin weighed 67 lbs which is pretty good for up here. The state record is 71 lbs. All totaled they had three hundred boats fishing. There's a so-so picture of the big blue in my fishing album.

  Hey Troy! Yes I'm alive and kicking! :-) I've just been out of town every weekend for the past month I believe!!! And been working on finding a place to live in Lafayette - I'll be moving there in September. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Lake Chuck! I left for Dallas the next day, so I was busy packing the night before. Hope you liked your class and glad you got another place to stay!!!
