Subject: Assistant District Attorney attendes TX Mantracking Class

The Tatum Mounted Patrol/Search and Rescue Unit in Rusk County, Texas, recently sponsored its Second Annual Man Tracking Training School with Basic Training being provided on Friday, April 10 and Advanced Training on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at the ranch of event hosts, Lawrence and Wanda Fillingim, near Tatum, Texas. Tatum Police Chief Ron Martin assisted in planning an outstanding curriculum with the training being led by the well-known tracking expert, Wayne Bare , , of APBC Rescue Mission Ranch near Van, Texas. Other instructors included Lt. John King Ret. LEO Houston Texas Helicopter Div. and Virgil Brown EMT White oak Texas This training concentrated on various aspects of all-weather tracking of fugitives from the law, lost children, disoriented or lost elder people as well as conducting cadaver searches. Both lectures and practical application were used to teach search methods involving all-terrain vehicles, horseback searches, air search and rescue operations as well as tracking on foot in both daylight hours and at night. The 27 enrolled participants not only received expert training but after classes also enjoyed good food which included a “wild hog cookout”, good companionship and live musical entertainment. The participants in this event, with some being from as far away as 200 miles, came away not only with enhanced training in search and rescue skills, they were also reminded of the vital function served by organizations of volunteers in helping to improve the safety and well-being of our communities.

Psa 28:1 A Psalm of David. Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

Psa 28:2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

Psa 28:3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

Psa 28:4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

Psa 28:5 Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

Psa 28:6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

Psa 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Psa 28:8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

Psa 28:9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also,

and lift them up for ever. kjv >>>>>>>>>>

Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

Rom 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Rom 13:5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

Rom 13:6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

Rom 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. kjv

    Hi Wayne,

Could you report to MSAR-Riders on what your school's students learned about
tracking from horseback? Any non-obvious insights you can share with us?

    Una

Dear Una Thank you for your note Tracking from horseback is the BEST
way to find things Fast, when time makes a difference I carry a small
binocular (10 by 25) on my gear belt ,, I find i can examine evidence,
tracks, ect and move on (example) back in 2002 I was called out by a Sheriff Dept. to
try and find out what a man had done with his wife (when a lot of blood had
been cleaned up and someone tried to hide the process in an up stairs
bathroom of their home here in east Texas) So I mounted up and went to work looking
for any thing I call "not normal " I found 4 shallow grave sized diggings
so I called them in and kept looking (why 4 I said, didn't fit, all
looked to be dug at differant times) so I kept searching, I rode up on a small
pond (tank) with a pier going out from the bank 6 'by 8' in size, at first
glance every thing looked OK there but I kept saying to my self what's "not
normal "here, Up under the pier on the top of the water were little white balls
1/8 " in dia. not many of them 10 or 12 , as I rode around the pond I saw
no tracks and no more of these little balls, so I called in this "not normal"
Latter these proved to be body lotion beads that had surfaced (after Her
shower that morning She had put on body lotion) Latter we learned He had in
fact weighted her down under that pier with lifting weights taken from the
house, then later took her body to the edge of Dallas and burned the body in a
gravel pit (Another Sheriff Dept. informed us of this) HE was convicted and
put down for his crime ....TRACKING is not always a track on the
ground.......Another note ,The Bible says "Consider.. the Ant" proverbs 6;6 kjv
The entomology of a track, will help time date a track, if you look closely
(insects crossing the track or ants building a mound in the track) I
recommend TRACKERS get online or go to your library and Consider the Ant
