The good thing is I live on top of a hill surrounded by 7 secluded acres. The lake is across the roadway, but the flooding was in low lying areas. A truck got stranded with a couple inside last night when they tried to drive thorough ...they were rescued..thank God, but the truck washed away. People just don't realize how dangerous flood waters can be.

Hey there my northern neighbor... hope you are well. I have not been on-line much, seems no time or a mind to it. Have been busy at Mom's sorting through clothes, giving them away to Vietnam Vet Org. My brother and I are totally against selling anything. My poor brother just has not had the heart for it, so has been all me. There have been some sleepless nights, as emotions I thought calmed with the passage of time are ripped apart again. Guess that is how it goes. I have found treasured photos of my father at 27, a new Lt and Capt in the Army Air Corps in WWII. It is amazing to be able to view into his life back then...
