- About Me
- I'am from Berlin, Germany . I traveled several times since 1994 to the US. Since 2005 I made trips to Texas and Florida and visited police and sheriff departments there and also made ride alongs.
I think it is very interesting to see US police work and to see the differences to Germany.
I also got into patch collecting. I focus on two states: Texas, where I have some more then 1.200 different PD, sheriff, constable and ISD patches, and Florda, where I only miss 16 police and 7 sheriff patches to have all Florida patches.
I'am into law enforcement in Germany since 1994. I worked in plain cloth as well as in uniform. I worked in the past as uniformed police patrol, plain-clothes intelligence unit and detective in the criminal investigation division. I'am now with the Department of Public Safety in Berlin and serve in one of the 12 districts of the DPS. After working patrol for more then 4 years I'am now a supervisor and also the chief of operations for my district. This means more paperwork and a desk, instead of streets and a patrol car, but I try to hit the streets as often as I can to be with my officers.
