- About Me
- Howdy all, I'm a Security Officer in North Dakota, Born and raised in a little hick town no one's ever heard of, and am looking for a LE job after graduation. I've been working this job for about 3 years and have also completed the ND Peace Officer Training. First off I'd like to say that I'm not a cop, at least not yet. I have currently been working as an armed security officer for the last three years mostly at a hospital, however being I am the only armed officer with our company in grand forks I end up doing alot of different events as well. I've worked for street dances, wedding dances, vip security albeit only twice, bank money runs, and about anything else our company can come up with. I take great pride in my work and strive to do the best I can with each shift. Since my company is very cheap I have purchased all my own gear minus my shirts with no compensation from the company what-so-ever. The hospital currently does not allow us to carry firearms while on duty and has not yet gotten tasers for us despite all the pushing and the information I've sent their way. Because of this I carry a 31 inch ASP and a MK-4 can of Defense Tech Pepper Foam along with two sets of Smith & Wesson handcuffs. When I'm working a armed contract I carry a 5 inch Kimber Custom II TLE RL in .45 in a Safariland RLS and 42 rounds of Winchester JHP's to go with. I also recently purchased a Ruger LCP that I use as a BUG. Now I know I may sound like I'm trying to play Robocop, but really I just want the same thing that all Law Enforcement, both sworn and private want....to go home safe each night. (I just read the post on the mall ninja, funnest thing I've read in a long time. Some of the stuff he says sound scarily familiar but no I do not walk around the hospital carrying my M-4, wheither you can see me or not, and I do not duck tape 3 tramua plate to my back to avoid getting shot by a high powered rifle. For all of you who havent read this serch for mall ninja and you'll find it, it a good laugh. Just thought I'd throw that out there) I am also finishing up my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Sociology. I have also completed the North Dakota P.O.S.T training. I am looking forward to working as either a city officer or county deputy, though I am waiting to hear from U.S.Customs as to wheither or not I have a job (the feds take forever). I enjoy hunting, as deer opener is my familys most celebrated holiday lol, as well as competition shooting, reloading, basement gunsmithing, riding horses and my motercycle in the two days out of the year its actually warm enough to ride comfortably. If there's anything I can do for anybody in the Grand Forks area feel free to E-mail me and I'll do my best. Thanks for reading, Stay safe, and " Have a Good Day Now" Jameson
