  Obama Update: Are you ready for the House Bill titled 'HR 45, Blair Holt Licensing and Record Act of 2009'. It will make it illegal to own a firearm unless it is registered with the database in Washington D.C. As a gun owner you will have to be finger printed, you will be required to provide your DL#, SS#, you must maintain a valid address at all times, submit to mental and physical health records being put on file, you will also be required to file any address changes and any ownership changes even if a private sale. Each update will cost $25 and if you fail to comply you will lose your right to own firearms. This bill and its language mirror almost completely one defeated last year in the House of Representatives by soon to be Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Will we the citizens be as lucky this time? How Sad that we must fight so hard just to keep our rights. Write your congress and anyone to help stop this in it's tracks. Inform Everyone You Know of This NOW.....

  Hi there Steven :))))) Saw your posting about former LE and LEOs ... You sure count with me :)))))
  I too wish we could have some more respect for having served. When showing my mourning avatar I now have to show one that does not have the badge although my 911 Communications ID said "Police Communications Officer". And although I was a civilian disptacher, I was sworn in as such by my Sgt. even back in the day !! We are like old Marines, you and me, we still serve and are still LEs at heart ... its in our DNA my friend ;) Are you doing anything special for Police Week, there or local events ?

  Thank you for the invitation and the tribute. I only continue on because of the well traveled statement by Kevin Cosner in "The Untouchables" movie "NEVER GIVE IN, NEVER GIVE UP". Thats one of the reasons I went to compete at last years International Law Enforcement Games in Florida. With 20% lung capacity, toting my oxygen tank around the pool table, I still managed to win two Bronze Medals. No where near my old Gold Medal form , but competitive and very satisfying. Besides my Daughter was also entered and finished one spot out of the medals in the 10-K competition, and she now has the bug to compete. Thats the best medicine of all.
