About Me: My name is Adriana Cohen. I’m a divorced mother of three wonderful girls. Only two currently live with me, and one lives in Glendale, Arizona. She’s a 17 year old senior at Independence high school, and is in beauty school and just got accepted into ASU for a major in business. My middle child is the craziest out of the group, she’s 13 her name is Adriana ,just like mine, and is attending Sitting Bull middle school in Apple Valley as an eighth grader. My smallest and my closest child is named Frances, she 12 and is a seventh grader at Sitting Bull middle school as well as Adriana. The last but not least member of my family is my female pet dog Tila. Now let’s talk about me. As I mentioned my name is Adriana, I live in Helendale, Ca in a residential area called Silver lakes. It is a private lake and a small town, quiet and peaceful. I live with my older brother, George. I’m from Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. I’m 35 but in 8 day I will be turning 36. I arrived in the USA 18 years ago. 5 years ago I decided it was time to learn English I went to Victor Valley College. So after I felt confident about my English, i decided to back in school and get educated for a degree in criminal justice. For the last five years I’ve been working as a biller for chiropractic and a construction company. I used to work in a District 0ffice in Phoenix Arizona as an interpreter. I’m a certified interpreter in Arizona for school only. I guess this is it for me. That’s all I can say, good luck everybody.

I promised many of my PoliceLink friends that I would keep you updated on my new mystery/suspense trilogy. I'm pleased to announce my first novel, Child Finder, has debuted this month. It is available online at Barnes & Noble, and
Amazon. It has already received some great reviews, to include a 5-Star rating by Armchair Interviews!
I am hosting a formal launch and book signing event at Borders bookstore, Chapel Hills Mall, Colorado Springs, CO on Sunday, June 7th, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. It would be great to see you there, but if you cannot make it, then I hope you still get your hands on a copy of my book.

The Final Inspection

The warrior stood and faced God,
Which will always come to pass,
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

“Step forward now, old warrior,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my church have you been true?”

The warrior squared his shoulders and
Said, “No, Lord, I guess I ain’t,
‘Cause those of us who carry guns
Can’t always be saint.

“I’ve had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I’ve been violent,
‘Cause the world is awfully rough.

“But, I never took a penny
That wasn’t mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,

“And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I’ve wept unmanly tears.

“I know I don’t deserve a place
Among the people here,
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.

I didn’t expect nor need too much,

There was a silence all around the throne,

As the warrior stood quietly.
For the judgment of his God.
