About Me
I am a volunteer for the State of New Mexico, I am on the Jury Improvement committee and have been for four years. My term has been extended for two more years. The committee works together to improve things for jurors for our state. It is a great committee and we have done many great things for the people of our state who serve on jurys. I love working on the committee and I look foward to accomplishing many other important things for the great people of our state. I am currently enrolled at Kaplan University and I am working on my Business Management & Administration degree. My future plans are to attend the School of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine here in New Mexico in which I will obtain my Masters degree and open my own practice in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and use the knowlegde of Native American herbs to help those who want alternative medicine. I love animals, and I love to ride horses. I am not active in sports, but I love to watch games live as to setting at home and watching them on televison. I like most sports. I love to go fishing every chance I can. I love stream fishing and I could go camping and fishing and be so happy with nature all around me. I have two grown children (men) and five step children (1 young man and 4 beautiful daughters) and (2 grand daughters and a brand new grandson) who are all living sucessful lives and doing well. I am Irish and Shawnee and Cherokee, My father is Irish and my mother is Native American and white. I love both cultures and my native name is Dataclish. (which means grey eyes). I love working at Best Buy and they help me with my tutiton for school. I have been there for 7 years and it is my extended family. I see a trend that more and more young adults come in and work for a short time until they find something else that has better pay and then they move on. I am a long term employee and I do not like to jump around to different jobs. Working at Best Buy does not pay well, it is the people who make the job great and the customers who visit our store that makes it fun to work at. I love working with all types of people and enjoy all the people that come in and I help. I am retired Army, a Quatermaster and I did love the military even though I was only in a short time, I was an expert shooter with my m16 and I would have been a lifer if it was up to me. I was only a E2 but it was great serving any way. If I had it to do over I would have been an officer. Great news!!! I am now one of the newest members in the honor society of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and Gamma Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity for Business majors, and I was inducted in the Cambridge Who's Who for professional business women 2009. I am so proud of this accomplishment so I wanted to share it with everyone in my police.link family. Thanks for reading my bio.
