  Hello again from a fall like day here in Rochester New York. The "Vazman" and his band of "Road Dogs" commonly known as the "Rochester Impact Team" took a two week layoff from the City of Rochester. We felt the Troops could use a few weeks off from the madness that has infested the inner City of Rochester. Unfortunately, while we were off doing what Troopers do when we are not in the inner cites(working with folks that appreciate us) the City of Rochester was dealt with 4 more homicides in 3 days. Our brothers in the Tactical Unit were working their tails off trying to bring a perp into custody that shot an 8 year old. Yes, believe if or not the Impact Team was very familiar with this piece of scum because we had arrested him in the past. Well, we are back in the inner city again for another 2 weeks joining our brothers from the Rochester Police Tactical Unit & the Monroe County Sheriff's office. We started on October 7th and we attempting to make another impact with our presence. Lately, the city has been hit with a rash of Pizza Parlor robberies and gun related drive-by's. The ironic twist to this is that the shooters are on bicycles and not driving cars. Our Team are now brushing up on on their Vehicle and Traffic Laws pertaining to bicycles.
  Well my LEO Family, that his been another update from the 'Vazman" here in good ole' Rochester N.Y.. where life is worth taking...Oops...I mean living......LOL

  Well my Law Enforcement Family....It's another Vazman update from here in Rochester New York. It has been an outstanding summer for The Rochester Impact Team(they rather be referred as a team and not a detail). I am very satisfied with the activity of the team and I believe we really have made a difference in the most crime infested areas of the inner City of Rochester. The team has seized many guns, drugs and have made many warrant arrests. These arrests were possible because of the support and outstanding relationship that we have created with the men and women of the Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff's Office, NYS Parole and Monroe County Probation. All of these Public Servants deserve a great amount of praise because they basically gave up their summer so that the citizens of the C/Rochester could have a safe and peaceful one. We all were advised at roll call this week that crime has lowered in these areas as a result of The Rochester Impact. Now remember, when we started this collaboration in 2002, we were told that it would never work because of interdepartmental differences of each agency. Based on our statistics for the summer, I think we have silenced these critics...A special thanks go out to Captain Michael Cerretto and Lieutenant Neil Gallivan who have made this detail possible and keep the team motivated. It is a pleasure to work with bosses that support your efforts 100%!! I must also give a special mention to my family who have gone to all the summer events that I could not attend because of the detail...I am truly blessed with an outstanding team and and supportive family. I post on this wall so that other agencies out there can see what interdepartmental cooperation can accomplish. This detail reflects on why I became a Public Servant 26yrs ago. To make an Impact(no pun intended) where I was needed and work with other agencies that had the same goal.
