    Someone tried to tell me that I am too old to go trick or treating this year...I feel that you are not too old until you are over 18, or you are a teen looking for free candy and try to go without a costume or something from you 6 yr old little sisters dress up bin. When I told them that they looked at me like I crazy and laughed.

    My first ride along was AWESOME. We were really busy for the whole time (7.5 hrs 0800-1530), and I learned a lot. I have been a youth cadet for about a yr and a half, and I think I learned more in 7.5 hrs than I have in the I'd say the 100-150 hours of cadet meetings/events. I was allowed to talk to dispatch on the the radio (glad I knew my phonetics)! I also am getting a book on sexual offence investigations from one of the corporals in the dept. which is super exciting for me, because I am contemplating going into the Special Victims Division of the NYPD detectives bureau.

    So, if anyone can help me out, I am looking for a veteran from WWII, Korean War, or the Vietnam war to interview for a school project that is coming up this quarter. We would interview the veteran, and make a video that gets entered into the Library of Congress. We also have a day where we invite all the veterans to come view the videos with us and hear our presentations on what we learned. I go to a project based, technology based school in the Yolo County area (near Sacramento) and the interview has to be done in person.
