A Message from LAPD Swat
Meet "Stay Frosty"..............Let me tell you about this patch and the man a bit.
RJ (Or his wife called him Robert James) Cottle was an active LAPD SWAT Element team leader. Not only was he that, he was a SGT MAJ in the Marines!
We lost RJ on his third tour in two of our wars. 2 in Iraq the last in Afghanistan.
RJ left us 03-24-10, not by any other means of by doing what he loved. By the side of his men in Afghanistan.
RJ loved Hawaii and always did the "Hang Loose" hand sign and would say "Stay Frosty".
This is our tribute. (RJ’s LAPD SWAT call sign was 23D)
