February 4, 2009 I ended a great career and journey of eight years as a Military Police Officer and left the great Marine Corps behind. I am an Operation Iraqi war veteran and if it wasn't for my kids I would be back there in a heart beat! I have had one hell of an experience and I would not change a thing. I laughed a lot, but I think I have shed just about as many tears as I have smiles. I had to make the toughest decision in my entire life to come out of the Corps after obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, but my heart is in Law Enforcement and that is what makes me happy. So, I am currently working in Quantico, VA as a Federal Police Officer for the Marine Corps Police and loving every minute of it. I kind of get the best of both worlds, because I get to work as a civilian police officer, yet I still get to be around Marines on a daily basis. Even though I have gotten out of the Corps, I feel like I am still in. I still keep the high professional appearance of a Marine and still carry on the true values of the Marine Corps. As far as my life outside the blue line, my life revolves around my kids, who I love more than life it self. Every decision I make on a daily basis, depends on how my kids will be affected. I would never kill any one out of anger, but I think if some one ever hurt or took my kids, I believe I would be in prison for the rest of my life. I am also a volunteer fire fighter in NC and I really miss not being there for the guys!
