    FOREVER GRATEFUL
    I sat in awe as the events unfolded
    Unable to move or turn eyes away
    Feeling so helpless while history was molded, so many lives were changed so needlessly that day.

    Through fire and smoke, sheer panic and terror, men and women gave in such heroic manner. They did a job they'd been sworn to do, doing their best to see others through.

    I for one, am forever indebted, to the officers, fireman, military and medics, as well as all the others that sacrificed it all, never knowing or caring that they could possibly fall.

    To those so unexpecting, the bravest and best. Those that are still fighting, holding steadfast.
    Protecting all others, too often without thanks, still fighting daily, guarding the ranks.

    To each and every one of you, though far or near, in my heart you are forever held dear. And though time may pass, and some memories may fade, I will NEVER FORGET the sacrifices made. So from this moment on, until my life is done, I will honor ALL heroes of 9-11-2001
