About Me
R.I.P Cpt F.A.Lacks Opa-locka PD E.O.W 11-04-09 Tony You will be missed my friend!

Tuesday, May 19, 1998 will be a day that I will never forget. That morning started just like any other....Until a news anchor broke in with some "Breaking News".....Detective Randy Bell and Detective Ricky Childers were shot and killed transporting a suspect to the police station for questioning. The suspect had earlier shot his girlfriend's 3-year-old child in the face with a rifle and took the child to a fire station. As Detective Bell and Detective Childers were transporting the suspect, he was able to free one of his hands from the handcuffs using a hidden key. He then reached into the front seat and gained control of one of the detectives' weapons. He shot and killed the driver as he sat in the front seat and the passenger as he was climbing over the back seat in an attempt to get the gun from the suspect. The suspect then obtained his rifle from the trunk of the car and car-jacked another vehicle. He led police on a chase in which he shot and killed Florida State Trooper James B. Crooks. The suspect committed suicide after a standoff at a local gas station. Three lives were lost that day ( I will not consider the suspect a life lost, sorry to say). You see things like this happen in movies and you know it's not real. But when you see it played out on the news, it hits home and it hits hard. Since that day, I have had the utmost respect for any and ALL LEO's because this can happen at any time...it's not predicted. I have made many friends on PL and every day when I sign on I worry that one day I'll see a name I know posted on the Home Page. I may not comment on your wall on a daily basis, but know that you all are always in my thoughts and prayers every night when I go to bed and every morning when I wake up. This site has opened my eyes more to the humanity side of LE and my respect goes even deeper for the men and women who wear the shield. Thank you for all you do and go beyond doing, and I want all of you to know that your work and services do not go unappreciated...You guys rock!! **** "People who think that a cop's job is to simply harass the public and write tickets and maybe grab a doughnut here and there.... think again. Cops do countless great deeds every day and their actions largely go unnoticed. But in the very rare circumstance, when a cop crosses the line, that's what we hear about". I wasn't a "groupie" in the 80's and I damn sure am not one now!! I have nothing but respect for any and all LE, but you cross that line with me, you will lose it. god bless the usa say a prayer for our troops
