About Me
Started on the job in 1987. Got into K9 in 97. It put the new spin on being a cop that's helped keep me in the game so long. Currently working my 2nd dog, Deuce after an incredible 10 year career with my first dog, Thunder. Deuce has proven to be an excellent street dog and does most anything I ask of him (none of them are perfect). I'm very active in the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) and serve as a Master Trainer in Utility & Narcotics Detection for same. I'm fortunate to be married to a terrific woman who completely supports me in what I do..especially K9 (even "stole" my first dog from me when he retired) and we are blessed with 4 great kids. In my off time, if I'm not doing something with my family or something K9-related, I can usually be found on a golf course somewhere...all of which I look forward to doing more of someday when I retire.

Depends on mood...it can run the gamut from Metallica and Godsmack to Buffett, Toby or Chesney. Not a fan of rap...I hear enough of that on the street...

    cop was killed one somber night,
    They buried him today.
    He gave his life to do a job.
    A wooden box his pay.

    Taps were played and the shots were fired
    That signified the loss.
    They echoed 'cross the lonely land.
    All eyes stared at the cross.

    The folded flag was passed along
    To his widow's shaking hands.
    She held her daughter in her arms,
    And answered her demands.
