Jesus,
doing great here in Texas, just wish the weather would make up it's mind on what it's going to do. Short sleeves one day and long sleeves the next. It was up in the 70's and a front blew through and dropped 10 degrees in 10 minutes and finally dropped to the lower 40's. Glad I had not put away my warm clothes yet. Have a great weekend and stay safe.

Sorry I haven’t been posting much the past two weeks but I’ve had a bad couple of weeks. My first case of diverticulitis and I had to bury my two cats, I will try better in the future.

The weather here has been really cold and windy the past couple of days, some snow showers but not much accumulation. In fact, my spring flowers have been trying to grow. The weather looks better for the next couple of days, anyway.
Have a great rest of the week my friends and be safe.

E.J. Montini is a columnist for The Arizona Republic.
The things we ask of officers
The death of Maricopa County Sheriff’s Deputy William Coleman is a simple, heartbreaking example of the things we ask law enforcement officers to do.
We ask them to respond to middle-of-the-night reports of burglar alarms, as deputies did at medical facility near Anthem.
We ask them to be on the lookout for suspicious individuals or vehicles, as when Coleman and the deputies spotted a minivan sitting in a nearby parking lot.
We ask them to walk up to those vehicles, as Coleman did, and tap on the window to awaken what appeared to be a sleeping driver.
We ask them to take on a crazed man with an assault rifle who comes up firing.
We ask them to risk their lives for us.
And they do.
And sometimes that is the sacrifice they make.
We might remember this the next time some politician or think tank lawyer suggests that police are ripping off taxpayers by way of their pension benefits or union activities.
We might remember this whenever some ridiculous egregious example of a high-powered double-dipper is held up as the norm rather than the exception, because the “norm,” when it comes to first responders, would be a lot more like Deputy Coleman.
We ask a lot of them.
A little respect, a little understanding – and the benefit of the doubt – is not too much to give in return.
I posted this as a news article, but I thought it deserves to be repeated. This article came from www.azcentral.com.

Friday Funny
Things you should never say to a police officer.
Sure I can step out of the car, but I can’t guarantee I can stand up.
Is that your wife in the back seat or are you part of the K-9 unit.
Could you turn off those lights, they make me dizzy when I’m drunk.
Yeah I’ll blow in that but it will cost ya 50 bucks.
If you want to borrow my handcuffs, there in the dash next to the blindfold.
Is that you nightstick or are you just happy to see me.
OK OK I’ll put the gun down but you gotta go first.
I couldn’t have been going that fast, you caught me.
Officer I swear that guy was alive when the car hit him.
I would like to make a citizens arrest. You followed me right through that red light.
Officer that is NOT my marijuana, it was already in the dash when I stole the car.
Could we try my backseat for a change…

Thursday Funny
A lawyer runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a sheriff's deputy. He thinks that he is smarter than the deputy because he is a lawyer from New York and is certain that he has a better education than any cop from New Hampshire. He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the deputy's expense.

Deputy says, "License and registration, please."
Lawyer says, "What for?"
Deputy says, " You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign."
Lawyer says, "I slowed down, and no one was coming."
Deputy says, "You still didn't come to a complete stop. License and registration, please."
Lawyer says, "What's the difference?"
Deputy says, "The difference is, you have to come to complete stop, that's the law. License and registration, please!"
Lawyer says, "If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration; and you give me the ticket. If not, you let me go and don't give me the ticket."
Deputy says, "Sounds fair. Exit your vehicle, sir."
At this point, the deputy takes out his nightstick and starts beating the ever-loving c**p out of the lawyer and says, "Do you want me to stop or just slow down? .
