- About Me
- My favorite hobby is making "shadow boxes" for people I get to know that need or should have one. Especially those of the WWII and Korean eras as I loved to get into the history of them and their units during that time. I started this after making one for my own Father, which sadly I had to do after he had passed away and our family found all his military documents, medals and such. I am a 6th generation military person, starting with ancestors who possibly fought against each other in some war or other in Europe. I had relatives in the militaries of Germany, England, Ireland and naturally the United States. I served 27 years in the USAF & USAFRes (my civilian LE career paralled my AF Reserve years), rising to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) and holding Superintendent levels in two career fields (LE-Corr) and Education and Training. Due to 2 tours of duty in Germany and many trips to Austria, plus family members who live in those regions, I can sit and listen to Lite Classical (Vienna and Strauss Waltzes) for hours. Coupled along with this is any late 1930's-1940's Big Band music. I hold a Masters of Social Sciences in Criminal Justice, specializing in Corrections. I have also "worked the streets" and other aspects of the LE field such as AF SP Investigator, Training Officer, Instructor/Instructor Supervisor,Safety & Security Officer, Military Pass & ID NCOIC, I really enjoy teaching others, especially those new to the professions and also learning from them as I have learned over the years everyone has ideas and many good ideas come from outside the field(s).
