  Hi All

  Just wanted to remind you that I opened two new forums the other day one named a Message from LAPD SWAT and the other K9 Unleashed Broward County. LAPD SWAT is selling "Stay Frosty" patches as a fund raiser to benefit the daughter of one of their own who served in Afghanistan as a Marine and was killed in action.

  K9 Unleased Broward County is a six week (I think) special on TLC starting on April 7th. My brother did the editing for the show. He said the first episode wasn't too great because the two deputies hadn't formed a relationship yet but in the following episodes they do form a relationship and "play off" each other. Since Monster won't allow me to post HTML the promo is on You Tube so you would have to do a search on K9 Unleashed to view it.

  Meet "Stay Frosty"..............Let me tell you about this patch and the man a bit.

  RJ (Or his wife called him Robert James) Cottle was an active LAPD SWAT Element team leader. Not only was he that, he was a SGT MAJ in the Marines!

  We lost RJ on his third tour in two of our wars. 2 in Iraq the last in Afghanistan.
  RJ left us 03-24-10, not by any other means of by doing what he loved. By the side of his men in Afghanistan.

  RJ loved Hawaii and always did the "Hang Loose" hand sign and would say "Stay Frosty".

  This is our tribute. (RJ’s LAPD SWAT call sign was 23D)

  How well I remember Media Relations, he videotaped us for the whole FIVE weeks to see our progression. I can safely say that now I can write a brief and deliver it to the media LMAO, and not continue to say umm, umm, ya know etc. How he hated that. It's kind of chilly here but a lot of snow is being predicated around us and I mean a lot of snow. Have a great rest of Thursday and stay safe and alert in the "big house"

  Forgive me my semesters were only 5 weeks long. I passed all of my CJ classes with flying colors, the ones that got me were Stats and Intro to Philosophy. I keep forgetting that there are some people who have to put up with 15 week semesters. LOL Sorry Andrew. My son just sent me a text saying it has been snowing in Gettysburg for the past couple of hours. Gettysburg is about a half hour north of here. All I got was a lot of rain and it's really cold out. Be safe my friend.

  Yeah I think we do too, I would call it scary though not crazy. It was in the 50's today and the sun was warm but once the sun goes down it get cold again.
