About Me
Am 66 years old. Born in Topeka, Ks. Lived in Old Mexico til I was 17. Dad bought a cattle ranch down there so I was brought up among the calves, dogs, and chickens. 1st thru 6th grade I went to a Mexican school in Tampico, Maxico.7th thru 11th attended San Marcos Military Academy in San Marcos, Texas.Finished 12th grade in Louisiana.Graduated from Marthaville, La. High School . Joined the US Army in 62 while still in High School. Basic training at Ft Polk, La . MP in Army working road and narcotics, Served 13 months in Korea, 11 yrs in Germany, with 3rd Inf. Div. Military Police in Wurzburg, 793rd Military Police in Nurnburg. 6 1/2 months in Vietnam (incomplete tour.) Medivaced to Fort Sam Houston, Tx, Fort Riley Ks.1st Inf. Div Military Police (The Big Red One) 3 seperate tours at Fort Polk, La. in there somewhere. 1 tour in St. Louis Mo. downtown in Federal Mart building as a procurement agent purchasing helicopter parts for the entire US Army Helicopter fleets. Most of the parts going to VietNam.Completed my 22 years retiring in 1984 at Fort Polk, La. as an SFC, E7/Platoon Sgt. Spent 6 yrs driving an 18 wheeler in the 48 lower states and 5 Provinces of Canada for KLLM out of Jackson, Mississippi. Got tired of the road job and was asked to run for the town council, I did and was elected as town councilman for 4 yrs. Joined the Hornbeck Police in 95 as a volunteer Deputy while on town council. The Chief retired. I ran for Chief along with another individual and was elected and been re-elected repeatedly so far. Next election, who knows.I am also a Deputy with the Vernon Parish Sheriff's office and a board member of the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force. Myrtie and I graduated together from high school in 63 and she is still putting up with me.Havent figured out how she has done it. Favorite pass time is shooting, fishing and hunting deer,squrriel, wild hogs, and rabbits.4 wheeler riding with family and friends. My best high is locking up drunk drivers,child abusers, wife beaters and druggies. No specific order.
