(One of my many poems, but one of the first poems I wrote this year)
As I fight my evil,
that which is as black as night.
I know that my will,
is strong and morally right.
I strive to do my best,
and face my fears.
Even though they give me no rest,
to shed my tears.
I seek the advice of others,
but to no avail.
I seek a band of brothers,
who shall never let me fail.
The battle that is inside me,
is like a growing void.
It’s like an annoying bee,
that I can not ignore or avoid.
I seek to be part of the elite,
which seems like a goal so far to reach.
I strive to rise up on my feet,
but crash to the ground like waves on a beach.
I want to be part of the best,
only a few truly understand.
That the best is far above the rest.
In that knowledge I can finally stand.
Shoulder to shoulder.
Side by side.
For Glory and Honor.
Through the great divide.
Between Good and evil,
the War rages on.
Good shall have Victory, this is the will.
But that is the Soldiers’ Bond
