Hi Deb & welcome back to the Real World from that cruise LOL, must have been nice to get away for 2 weeks. Personally I've never been on a cruise, maybe one of these days. I usually prefer solid ground below my feet but even then I seem to get myself into trouble. On the job they used to call me the 'Black Cloud' because disaster & excitement would follow me just about every shift. It made for an exciting career though. Thank You for your service & I'm sorry for the loss of your K9 partner, I know they can be closer then a human partner sometimes. I always wanted to become a K9 handler but it never happened. i also understand how quickly we are forgotten by our dept. it's no different anywhere from what I see, oh well their loss our gain right! Live happy, live safe my friend and enjoy your retirement, I certainly am ! Again Thanks for the Add and look forward to your friendship here on PL. ~Bill~

Hi Deb..geesh good luck with the rehab... man, am so sick of surgeries.. I am pretty much at the end except for a total knee replacement which will face me once I retire or my last year. I totally agree, man, if only turning back the clock worked!! Sometimes I feel like I am literally dragging myself out of the unit, course then your brain ticks in with, "tell me again why you are doing this??" hah.. well I hope your rehab goes well my friend... I am not sure if I will go or not to the memorial.. last year it really killed my leg to do all the standing.. but I feel the tug at the heart to go.
