- About Me
- I am a Retired Police Officer that had to leave the CPD early due to disabilities that were not job related. I was on the street just over 15 years. During that time I worked the 18th, the 7th, the 12th, and the 8th Districts or you could say I worked Near North, Englewood, Monroe, and Lawn. Since then I have moved from Chicago to MS where most of my family lives. Here I still stay a little involved by doing volunteer work as the Communications & Coordination Officer of the County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team, I keep the Homeland Security NFIRS Reports Current for the County Fire Departments that need my assistance, all FDs are volunteer in this county so I do a few, I am an active Amateur Radio Operator and was the President of TARA, Tippah Amateur Radio Association for 2008-2009. I still coordinate the local Amateur Radio Emergency Services, and work the SkyWarn Net for the National Weather Service when bad weather is around. I also work with the Emergency Management Agency in the county. This may sound like a lot but I live in a small county and its not much really. I guess I just like being involved in some small capacity. I wish more people would have a community spirit - the world would be a nicer place. At CPD our motto was "We Serve and Protect" and I guess serving has become a way of life. But I wouldn't trade it for nothing.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, and hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
11. Don't waste time finding fault with others - they can usually
Find fault with themselves just fine. Try something challenging-
LOOK FOR THE GOOD IN EVERYONE!
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
And if you don't send this to at least 8 people - who cares?
But do share this with someone.
We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!
Worry about nothing, pray about everything!!!

We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize
it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't.
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain....
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call.....
He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
a word from His lips, can calm every fear...
Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light....
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love...
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

DANCE

KISS A LOT!

RELAX IN NATURE

HAVE FUN
AND BE HAPPY!!!!
Today is International Disturbed People's Day
I don't care if you lick windows,
take the special bus
or occasionally pee on yourself..
You hang in there sunshine, you're special
Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Today's Message of the Day is:
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile..
