About Me: I began my police career in 1978 with metropolitan pd in DC, about a year later got involved with some fbi at a bank robbery gone wrong and started working undecover for the government as a private contractor so i could do the things a legal agent couldn't. Did that until 1985 after my wife said she'd like to know where i was for months at a time and I should get a real job, Joined the U.S. Capitol Police started the mountainbike patrol and wrote the training manual and SOP for it, trained approx 20 different department in the mid atlantic, we modeled after seattle WA. made the most felony weapons and narcotics arrests in the dept. til i got promoted to Detective. protected all heads of state and presidents of foreign countrys and always the Dalai Lama everytime he came to DC from 1986 to 1993, also the president and Vice Peesident assisted the usss while they were at the capitol, then in 1995 was assigned to the protectoion of the Speaker of the House and stayed there until 2004. I protected 3 Speakers and left when my dad got very ill. Went back to uniform- u/c working with the joint terrorism task force and groups witha bunch of other initials. I had the privilage of locking up one of the 100 most wanted terrorist and in the middle of this in the middle of the street i got hit from behind by an suv and my back went down hill, in 2007 my daughter was involved in a traffic accident on the way to school, her best friend and younger brother were killed, my daughter was very seriously injured and the police dept wouln't advance me the leave to help her back so i retired and four months later my home was destroyed by a tornado, yeah i hve a littlle cloud above my head like the kid in peanuts . But life is good , my daughter is better than i am, my other daughter just graduated from the University of Mary Washington summa cum laude. Obviously i'm very proud of both, my wife is a trooper who put up with my never being home from undercover work to being a cop and in court all day and working the evening shift, then to being home maybe two days amonth all the years i protected the Speaker, who by the way mentioned me by name in his book, Speaker Hastert speaking on the events of 9-11, anyway back to my wife, best friends for twenty five years. anywaty thats me , i collect challenge coins and occaisionally sell badges for friends but only to other cops believe me, for many yrs my training for the Speaker was hapkido, specialized driving- counterterrorism and evacuation. And counterintel and specialized shooting. that is all i've got except all ,my friends here where i've found a new home , stay safe all and be in touch it helps me as much as you, my partner was murdered at the Capitol in 1998, and many good friends who i worked with or trained were killed in the Line of Duty, and this helps me as much as you so keep those cards and letters (sic) coming, Beau
