I'm sorry to hear that you were turned down. The bright side is that its nothing you did wrong. Age is a factor in a lot of hiring. Take what they said to heart and reapply again in 2 years. You will be fine and make a great officer so hang in there sweetie. I also hope you and yours have a Safe and Merry Christmas.

G'day! Once again, a "drive by" posting--lot of life changes since last I wrote. Lost my beautiful wife of 25 years in May to a heart attack. I still miss her every day, but I'm doing OK. Her passing allowed me to go for a position that I'd passed on previously (largely because she would have kicked my ass around the block if I'd taken it!): Police Advisor in Iraq. Sooo, I just passed my 2nd week at Camp Shield, Baghdad, working with the Iraqi Police. I'm here for a year, working with some great guys (former state, local and federal law enforcement), but there ain't no doubt "We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto"! Hope life's treating you well and that you're having a super Christmas Season!
