About Me
Here’s my disclaimer: I have a direct & honest approach when it comes to most everything (i.e. I tend to be blunt) so consider yourself warned. Pursuing this career is my top priority so don’t mistake my demeanor as cold or unfriendly. As those who have gotten to know me on PoliceLink will tell you, I’m neither of those things. They will also tell you that I reek of awesomeness...which I do. ■ As my status reads, I am currently applying for a position as a law enforcement officer. Originally from Clinton, I now reside in north Jackson. I’ve no problem relocating to neighboring states. In fact, I’d prefer it to an extent. As much as I love my home, opportunities [in law enforcement] are infrequent at best. That being said, I welcome information on any LEO opportunities in the South. Come on people, this is a “social networking” site; emphasis on 'networking'. If your emphasis is more on 'social', add me on Facebook & we’ll socialize all day long. ■ Moving right along…A long, long time ago I graduated from Clinton High School then attended Mississippi State University. Then not so long ago, I returned to college as a Criminal Justice student at Hinds Community College (Raymond Campus, i.e. Harvard on the Highway). ■ As for my applications, I had a major setback in June when a medical emergency forced me to withdraw from the hiring process of two agencies. However, in August I managed to make it to my first oral board interview...ask me how that went. Needless to say it’s been discouraging but giving up isn’t my cup of tea so I push on. ■ On a personal note, I have two cats: a beautiful albeit overweight Burmese named Andrew and Pickles the extraordinarily dim-witted kitten. I also have three sisters, one brother, a niece & a nephew. I’m the middle child as well as left handed so I am biologically incapable of normality. Of course, the whole awesomeness factor (*see above) cancels that out. I’m also older than you think. ■ I enjoy photography but I’m merely an amateur; I don’t claim to be good but considering my equipment I think I’ve done well. ■ It's been suggested that I can be a bit wordy and long-winded but I don’t know where anyone would get such an idea. ■ Have an outstanding day and remember to always watch out for the Evil Bastard Goose! ☺ Updated 09/09/09

    Summary: I have had the privilege of knowing Amanda for the past three years both a professional and personal level: first as a patrolman for the City of Clinton and then when I helped with security & loss prevention at O3. Amanda is dedicated, determined, and driven. There is no one that I know of that will give as much to a project as she does. Her will and determination are only surpassed by her kindness and compassion. Her integrity is beyond reproach. I cannot think of a better candidate for a law enforcement agency then her. She would be an asset to her department and to the community that she serves.
