My name is Andrijana, I'm 22, and have lived in California my whole life; I am of Croatian descent from both sides of my family. I was born in Los Angeles but have spent most of my life living in Northern Cali. I have an older brother in California and two younger half-sisters who are in NYC. I am currently a full-time college student working on getting her three Associate Degrees in Courts, Corrections and Law Enforcement; I will complete my Law Enforcement one in December, now to just work on the other two! It's kind of odd to say, but I actually enjoy going to my classes because I'm always learning something new and I have absolute respect for my teachers. The field of criminal justice always fascinates me and I find myself wanting to learn more. As far as law enforcement in the family goes, my grandfather back in Europe was a police officer and my mom has worked in the LADA's office for 20+ years now. It is my dream to be in law enforcement and I am working hard now to make sure my dream is fulfilled!
When I'm not busy studying, cramming for exams, and going on Starbucks runs to keep me going, I LOVE spending my time at the training center and doing some MMA! I got into the world of martial arts 2 years ago when I took a college course in self-defense (Kempo and Eskrima). I then joined an MMA gym and I now train whenever I can in Muay Thai and occasionally, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I love it because it's challenging yet it's such an adrenaline rush...I just love it!!
On my days off when I get some time to myself, I love to read and I especially love to write. I love to spend time with my family and friends and just laugh and smile as much as I can. I have learned a whole lot in the past couple years not just about life but about myself and I have learned that whatever challenge life throws my way, I learn to follow these simple steps someone once taught me: adapt, improvise and overcome. I always stick up for myself and for my beliefs, and I believe that whatever decisions you make in life, you make them because you believe in your heart it's the right decision, even if it may not be the popular one. Whenever life knocks me down, I don't stay down but I get back up and finish the fight.
