This job market for Security positions in MIchigan really sucks. The big companies advertise because by law they have to, do a bunch of interviews, then just cross-slide one employee to that position. Another position then becomes open and the same process happens. So discouraging. Well, something's gotta give. I've been looking for work for 9 months now in the Security field. After the 3rd. interview I realised what these companies were doing, and the proof came from my hair sylist who said her friend had just gotten one of the positions I had applied for, and guess where she worked. Yup, for the parent company. A slide-over. Obama's promising new job creation. Only thing is it's in sectors where people like me don't qualify. I don't know anything about high tech work! Or the 'green' industry. He should talk to those of us in the 1% and get an idea of what REAL Americans need for jobs. I sure hope for a change of leadership in Washington come the elections in this year. Maybe there will be some real job creation, not just rhetoric. And a part-time congress is a great idea. Let them have to work a real job like the rest of us, then go in and make good, sound decisions on what it takes to become a trustworthy, reliable, and hard-working employee. I wish I could post my resume here and you can take a look at my qualifications. This is a tough job market if I can't get a job. Between my education and work experience I should have gotten a job months ago. Oh well, just gotta keep pluggin along and hope for the best. Temp agencies are starting to look good. I met with a professional recruiter and he's going to be working to find a fit for me in a job. He's the son-in-law of a friend of mine so he didn't charge me the $1,000 he normally charges. Yeah!! Well...to all my friends in LE stay safe out there.

Big time interview with a contracted National Security Company tomorrow!! Woo hoo!! It'll be for a University quite close to me. Can't wait to knock their socks off! I've been searching for work for the last 7 months. I never realized looking for work was a full-time job. Whew. Take care everyone, and as always.....stay safe.
