Washington Police Academies
The Washington Criminal Justice Training Commission certifies all law enforcement officers in the state through attendance of the Basic Law Enforcement Academy. All attendees must be sponsored by a police agency. The academy itself is a 720-hour academy held at Burien, Washington. The Washington State Patrol operates its own, separate academy for all troopers.
