Nevada Police Academies
There are several department-run and regional police academies in Nevada that are approved by the Nevada Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. Nevada POST also operates its own 16-week residential basic police academy. All peace officers in the state must graduate from one of these academies to be certified as a Category I, Category II, or Category II peace officer.
