Request LEO Verification on PoliceLink
PoliceLink
The purpose of PoliceLink’s LEO-only forums is to provide verified active and retired law enforcement personnel with a secure location to discuss police-sensitive topics and to network with other members who are confirmed law enforcement officers.
1. Who can access the restricted areas?
PoliceLink members with the following status are eligible to request access to restricted areas:
- Active or retired local, state, federal, tribal or railroad law enforcement officer
- Active or retired corrections officer, detention officer, jailer, etc.
- Active duty military police
- Any other active duty person who is considered a “peace officer” under their state’s laws
- Former (non-retired) law enforcement officers who are employed by a government-run law enforcement academy
- Under extremely limited circumstances, other former law enforcement personnel who demonstrate a compelling need
2. Who is not eligible for requesting access?
Non-sworn personnel of any type are not eligible to request restricted access. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Dispatchers, crossing guards, and other civilian police employees
- TSA screeners and non-sworn TSA employees
- Security officers
- Civilians
- Employees of private corrections agencies or private prisons
3. How do I request access to restricted areas?
If you meet the criteria in Section 1, click here to request access to the restricted areas.
This symbol appears on profiles of verified law enforcement officers and verified forums.
4. How will others know I am a verified law enforcement officer?
Once your request is approved, a gold star will be added to your profile and will appear next to all of your discussion postings and comments throughout the site.
5. How do I know which forums and discussions are restricted?
The same gold star that appears on your profile will also appear next to any forums, discussions, or groups that are restricted to LEOs.
6. I see discussion postings in restricted areas by non-LEOs. How did that happen?
Prior to September 18, 2008, all discussion boards were open to the public. Several of these public boards were converted to LEO-only boards at that time. Any discussions or postings that previously existed in the converted boards were not removed and will remain, however, those who originally made them will not be able to make additional postings in the restricted forums or read any responses to their original post.
7. How do I request verification if I am a retired law enforcement officer?
If you are a retired law enforcement, or do not have a department email address, you can submit your request for LEO verification by downloading faxing in this request form.

Below is the information I have been unsuccesfully trying to send via private e-mail since this morning after you rejected my request for verification. I spent the better part of my life with a hiatus due to health reasons from a job related condition which has since crippled me. I worked full-time in Corrections in both Pa. and Florida and also have been as high in rank as Lieutenant with at least one dept. and Lead Officer at my last jjob. Since info@policelink.com won't accept my e-mails here they are. What you and everyone else can now see is my life story. I have nothing to hide , I am proud of the job I did, and for the record ask the guys who are there the western everglades region just south and west of Lake Okeechobee is not the greatest area in the world. But I worked with some fine officers there. . . and a couple deadheads; but To Sgt.'s Dan Fellows (Heartless) and ("Iceman") Sgt Colagiovanni of PBSO; I miss you guys and be careful . . . Oh and Dan watch out for the lizards . . . one got me in '99 head-on ( Fortunately I was driving a tri-axle mack ) she wasn't . .Thankfully and unbelievably she lived.

Can National Guard or Reserve military police be included in this? In effect, we are like auxilary or reserve police officers. We don't get badge numbers in the Air Force.

I been a security guard for a large bank institution and did research for the prosection of white collar criminals and the banks name has changed, but the chinese have invested in the name of the former bank while another bank took up rsidense in it's main office and reional offices around the country. I am so reatful togget out of secutity and auditng, mail delivery and the trust epartment from a organization that is run by polititions and you can get loans that are written off as business expenses to balance the budget for the accounting department whn tax sean roles around . that was twenty five years ago, Looks like things are begginning to catch up with the down fall of a nation especially when the dollar is baked by gold and the catholic church has all the gold. It's been going up their thru kentucky by railway since the late fifties who contols the money and the eruo the nation that contols the gold or the church who has been fightin for it since consitine and the first niecene counsel and niclatines wich is the doctrine of the laity

I e-sent my verification early in the game; can re-e-send it if needed. I learned of PoliceLink after my retirement. As a Board Member at my local F.O.P. Lodge, yeppers, I can get verification as needed. I'm real, and the others having LEO access should be also. As for Mr. Craig's situation below, I'd have to look at his documentation, but he sounds at least partly qualified.

Glad to see I am not the only retired LEO still waiting for verification confirmation. Short of faxing and emailing, I don't know what else there is to do -- rather disappointing ....
