Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what is the best route to take? I am 20 years old and have one acadmic year done in criminal justice, I was thinking about joining the national guard as a MP for the experience, and also will pay for the rest of school! I also have thought about a few other jobs in the army.... is it smart to go the MP route or is military background good enough?I was wondering if the military background will help better than the criminal justice degree? Or is it smart to get both..... Thanks!

i haved dreamed of being a police officer my whole life. i know they say "its harder than you think", but this is my plan. i am currently a criminal justice major. i plan on getting my associates degree, then joining the army as an MP. then hopefully when i get out i will have a much better chance to getting into the field than most.

Amber, I sure hope so! I'll only have military history, so hopefully college isn't a requisite, I heard it depends on where you look, make sure & check all the surrounding areas as well.

Hi my name is Amber and I'm looking into a career in law enforcement , I recently attended a orientation where I spoke to one of the police officers and she told me that if I had no intentions of getting college credits not to waste my time or to seek else where. I work full time and have four children I would love to go to school but don't have the time. Is it still possible to become a police officer with no college credits?
