I want to become a police officer, have wanted to for quite some time now, I want to know if you do need some kind of degree to become one or even join....................I guess that is why I have not moved forward................so if I can get some info on that it would be greatly appreciated............

Ima security officer at yankee stadium... day by day I interact with the police officers that are on duty during the yankee games... I've learned so much and I am still learning.. my dream has always been to become a police officer, swat, fbi, marshall all of thhe above I just turned 21 bout 2 week or so.. I hope I become a police officer.. what are the odds and how do they decide who's right for the job and who's not be training etc???

i have wanted to be c ap since i was i was a little kid. Even though i am only 17 i know for sure that i want to be a police officer. Espcially after my father was murdered August 18 2008 on his birthday i really wanted justice. My family and i still don't know who did it. I know 200% that i would be an excellent officer. I just need to get the education and training and when i do i will be an POLICE OFFICER..

To be a police officer has been my eternal dream.. My uncles and father including my grandfather were police officer in chile. Since I was there I always dreamt to become an investigator and I know it is my vocation to be period but I have gone through other learningships like music, computers, paint, etc. Well I dont want to make a book about it but I want to say that if there is any chance for me to become a police officer in america. I will be Glad and Proud of it ! always. I have to say that I used to work for my father in his actual security company in chile and I like the field. ! Im going into this! Thanks

I am 35 years old, I have 7 years in the military, about 8 years in security work. I am a detention officer at this time and I want to be a class one officer but I am worried about the academy. Should I be.....

I am 20 years old, I have 3 misdeminors(no drug related) but now I am attending school and in 2 years I will get my bachler's degree in criminal justice. Can I still become a police officer?

I have always wanted to be an officer or investigator! Ihave really been interested since my little brother was murdered Thanksgiving Eve. of 2006! We still havn't found the murderer!! I had started my own investigation and if I was legal I could have been cracked this case! I'm just going to keep trying to forward my career so that I could help others in situations like that. I believe that I would make a great officer or investigator to help get the drugs and violence off the streets! (I've been doing my own research for years!! Someone needs to give me a chance!

I wnce thatanted to be in law enforcement since I was young, I had an opportunity to work for Chiago Police, back in 93, but I didn't follow up with taking the exam, since that point, I feel should try again in Wisconsin and go for the State Police sometime next year. Wish me luck!

I'm in the process of pursuing a new career in Law Enforcement. My concern with the hiring process. My credit isn't that good, I have no bankrupcy. Will this keep me from getting hired on with a agency? What advice could you give me to prepare myself? thanks for your advice. My other question is what is the cut off age from getting hired with a agency? I know every state has there own guidelines I live in California. Thanks again for your help
