I've always had an interest in being an Officer for Amtrak, so the fact that it made the list comes as good news!
Whenever I travel home from central Illinois to Michigan, I always have a layover at Union Station in Chicago. The Officers there are very nice, professional and courteous.

I am a Spanish teacher of 25 years and I'm 48 years old and I have wanted to something in law enforcement and I even applied for a police officer position but I backed out and didn't show for the exam or physical test because I assumed that I was too old in comparison to others trying to enter the profession. With a Masters degree I would like to think that I could do something in law enforcement. An emergency dispatcher appeals to me but it seems difficult to obtain employment without experience.

As a Baby Boomer myself, who already is in hock to Sallie Mae Services for student loans, there's not much here that I fit into. I'm pretty savvy around trains, so I could possibly look into that. Thanks Chris.

Thanks Chris page 7 and I are made for each other. I didnt know that there were so many positions that needed so much schooling. They certainly arent portrayed as the learned type. Thanks again for the info. Still looking. Cant get one I guess till School loans are payed off.
