Description: In Memory of Cpl Joseph Anzack Jr Born 02-04-87 MIA 05-12-07 Found KIA 05-23-07. Pfc Anzack was one of three American soldiers captured in a May 12, 2007 ambush near Baghdad. His body was found in the Euphrates River 05-23-07. Pfc Anzack belonged to the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. After two public services held in his home town of Torrance, California, Joseph Jr.'s body was flown to Washington, D.C., for a full-honors burial at Arlington National Cemetery. He also received a posthumous promotion to the rank of corporal.
